In February of 2019, 2020, and 2021, WebAIM performed an accessibility assessment of the home pages of the top 1,000,000 websites. This assessment utilized the WAVE stand-alone API along with supplementary tools to gather information on site technology and sector characteristics. The findings offer an overview and insights into the existing state of web accessibility for individuals with disabilities, as well as trends observed over time.
