About
Distrobox is a command-line tool that enables users to run any Linux distribution directly within their terminal. It facilitates both backward and forward compatibility with software and provides the flexibility to choose any distribution that suits your preferences. Distrobox utilizes podman, docker, or lili-pod to create containers based on the Linux distribution of your choice. The resulting container is deeply integrated with the host system, allowing for the sharing of the user's HOME directory, external storage, USB devices, as well as graphical applications (X11/Wayland) and audio functionalities.
